The Investor Forum announces Katherine Garrett-Cox, CBE as new Chair

(London, 30th June 2026)

The Board of the Investor Forum CIC is pleased to announce that Katherine Garrett-Cox will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director and the new Chair with effect from 1st September 2026.

Katherine Garrett-Cox is a highly experienced investment professional with an extensive track record in global asset management, governance, and board leadership.  She is best known for her tenure at Alliance Trust PLC, where she served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer from 2008 to 2016 and oversaw significant strategic transformation and managed a diversified global investment portfolio.

Katherine has built a strong portfolio of non-executive directorships, serving on the boards of public and private companies, Government advisory groups and investment organisations. She is currently CEO of Gulf International Bank (UK) Ltd, and Chair of the Clean Air Fund and CDP Worldwide.  In 2014 she was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire, for services to the Asset Management industry and Charitable service and in 2020 became a Freeman of the City of London.

She began her career in investment management at Fidelity Investments, is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals, CFA Institute and has held a range of senior roles across the financial services sector, bringing deep expertise in equity markets and stewardship.

Her combination of operational leadership, investment insight, and board experience makes her a valuable addition to the Investor Forum’s board.
